  • We switched to Ivy Preparatory after our previous home daycare went out of business unexpectedly last spring. The staff at Ivy Preparatory are wonderful and committed to our children’s well-being and education. My two year old loves it there so much that she doesn’t want to go home on most days.

  • We have been at the Ivy for almost a year now and we are so happy with the care our daughter receives. From the warm and loving staff to the amazing education she gets it is easy to recommend The Ivy Preparatory School. I especially love that use baby sign language and teach her Spanish. I'm constantly amazed by all the words she knows in both English and Spanish. They really do a great job.

  • In my search for child care in the Reston area I looked at everything. Everything. Brand-name chain child care centers,  other locally owned establishments rated highly (uhhhh, not sure why for some of them), home daycares.  Each one left me feeling like, "Welp, I'm not going back to work yet."  I even left one place in tears because the sadness of the children inside had rubbed off on me.

THIS PLACE IS THE BEST.  I've toured twice now.  They aren't officially open as yet, but I am beyond impressed with the place.  I can see my kiddo happy and thriving in this type of environment.  Natural light.  An outdoor space that resembles an awesome backyard.  The classrooms have objects and toys that are engaging and interesting.  Yes, it's clean because it's brand new, but.... I actually believe the directors when they say they'll be cleaning and replacing frequently.  I like their sick kid policy.  I like their care philosophy.  I like their staffing.

Each time I've visited, the directors took time with me and my kiddo.  Lots of time to talk and feel each other out.  It felt relaxed.  Kiddo was happy to explore the environment while we talked and it didn't look like he'd mind one bit if I let him stay for awhile to play while I went back to work.   I highly recommend checking this place out.

  • We love The Ivy Preparatory School! We had our infant son at a different daycare in Reston for just three days before we disenrolled him. We were appalled at the complete lack of care and attention he was getting there, and we had to rush to find a new daycare. I found The Ivy online and sent them an email. The owners, Ann and Anna, responded right away and we met Ann the following day. We knew immediately that The Ivy was a wonderful place, and we enrolled our son right away. He LOVES it. He smiles every morning when I drop him off and he sees his teacher, and he's happy at the end of the day when my husband picks him up. His teacher takes him outside, taught him to roll over, speaks to him in English and Spanish, paints with him, and even made organic play dough for him to play with. He's just three months old, but The Ivy has taught him so much already. They give him the care and attention an infant needs and, as new parents, we are relieved that we don't have to worry about our son during the day. We are so grateful to have found The Ivy, and we give them our highest recommendation.

  • Our infant son was enrolled in a different daycare in Reston for just three days before we disenrolled him. We were disgusted and appalled by the complete lack of care and attention he received. We were in a rush to find a new daycare when we found The Ivy. The directors, Ann and Anna, responded to our web inquiry right away, made time for a tour, and gave us enough confidence to leave our son with them the following week. Our son absolutely loves it there. He smiles every morning when he sees his teacher, and he's happy at the end of the day when we pick him up. They keep him stimulated during the day by reading and singing to him, taking him outside, teaching him Spanish and even sign language, and by keeping him engaged in so many creative activities. They give him the love, care, and affection that an infant needs and we are relieved that we don't have to worry about him during the day. We feel grateful to have found The Ivy - it's a wonderful place.

  • I can't say enough good things about the Ivy Preparatory School! My 2 year old daughter absolutely loves it there and begs to go each day. The directors, Ann and Anna, are both wonderful. The curriculum is fantastic. I am continually amazed at the activities my daughter gets to do each day. On her first day they made a name tag with her with each letter spelled from a different spice. She came home talking about the different smells, textures, and appearance of each one and you could tell from day one her mind was opened up to so many valuable experiences. And every time she is there she has these fantastic learning opportunities that I am so grateful for. Ann and Anna treat each child as if they are their own, really taking the time to ensure that they are all in the absolute best of care. The environment is so happy and fun and I know that each day my daughter is there she will learn, develop social skills, play, and have so much fun.

  • My daughter has been at the Ivy for almost a year now and we could not be happier with the care she receives. I am amazed every day when she comes home with new words and singing new songs. It is a small and personal daycare and I feel so good about her being there every day. I know she is safe, well cared for and that she is learning!
