In my search for child care in the Reston area I looked at everything. Everything. Brand-name chain child care centers, other locally owned establishments rated highly (uhhhh, not sure why for some of them), home daycares. Each one left me feeling like, "Welp, I'm not going back to work yet." I even left one place in tears because the sadness of the children inside had rubbed off on me.
THIS PLACE IS THE BEST. I've toured twice now. They aren't officially open as yet, but I am beyond impressed with the place. I can see my kiddo happy and thriving in this type of environment. Natural light. An outdoor space that resembles an awesome backyard. The classrooms have objects and toys that are engaging and interesting. Yes, it's clean because it's brand new, but.... I actually believe the directors when they say they'll be cleaning and replacing frequently. I like their sick kid policy. I like their care philosophy. I like their staffing.
Each time I've visited, the directors took time with me and my kiddo. Lots of time to talk and feel each other out. It felt relaxed. Kiddo was happy to explore the environment while we talked and it didn't look like he'd mind one bit if I let him stay for awhile to play while I went back to work. I highly recommend checking this place out.
